Garratt Horsebox Hire Terms & Conditions

 

These terms shall apply to the hire of the horsebox/trailer/4x4. Our contract begins when you pay a deposit or the full hire cost.
 

Hire Form, DVLA code and Damage deposit are required to hire our vehicles. 
 

Damage Deposit holding fee of £150 to be taken from a debit or Credit Card. Once Terms and Condition are signed you are giving us permission to change amount if horsebox returns damaged. If your horse causes damage to the inside or outside of the horsebox, you are liable and will be charged.
 

Damage Excess Amount 
Drivers 21 years old excess of £1000
Drivers 22 – 24 years old excess of 800
Drivers 25 – 75 years old excess of £500


3.5 tonne/Trailers/4x4 important Information
- Insurance covers the vehicle but not the horses being transported. 
- Horse area must be cleaned and washed out before returning otherwise a £30 fee will be charged.  
- No smoking in Cab Fee of £50.
- All rubbish in cab should be removed or a cleaning Fee of £30. 
- Vehicle must be returned before 7PM (Late Fee £25 an Hour). 
- Driver/Hirer of vehicle will be responsible of any damage, speeding fines, parking fines, and overloading the horsebox. 
- Fuel must be correct amount when returned. (£50 fee plus amount of fuel needed if not correct). 
- Please do not leave horses unattended when tied up to the horsebox also do not let your horse eat grass when tied up. 
- Always use all partitions correctly and safely. 
 

Self Drive Collection Policy
You will be given a collection time and you will be allowed 15 minutes after your specific time of collection. If you don’t arrive in time for your hire your hire will be cancelled.
 

Self-Drive Hire Cancellation Policy

There is a NON-REFUNDABLE deposit of 50% of the cost of your hire which is taken when booking a hire date.

The remainder of your hire payment will need to be paid 10 days before hire date.

If you wish to cancel your Hire prior to the Hire Period beginning you must notify Garratt HorseBox Hire immediately to inform us as this will improve the chances of rehiring the HorseBox during the Hire Period

If you cancel more than 10 days previous to the date of hire, you will lose your deposit but the remaining half of your hire payment can be moved to another date, subject to availability. You will only be able to move your hire date once.

If you cancel less than 10 days previous to the date of hire you will not be refunded any of the hire fee.

Special hiring deals, payment is expected in full on the date of booking. There are no refunds or moving dates for special deals.

Any hire dates changed to a weekday only and has to be changed before the end of the current year.

Please note: You are not able to transfer hire dates to another person.

Transportation Cancellation Policy

Payment in full is needed to secure your transportation date.

If you wish to cancel your transportation date, you must notify Garratt HorseBox Hire immediately to inform us.

If you cancel more than 10 days previous to the date of transportation, you will lose 50% but the remaining half of your payment can be moved to another date, subject to availability. You will only be able to move your transportation date once.

If you cancel less than 10 days previous to the date of transportation you will not be refunded any of the hire fee.

Any transportation dates changed to a weekday only and has to be changed before the end of the current year.
